I find the Buddha in Basgo

Yesterday I visited Basgo, a village west of Leh in Ladakh. It is the site of a ruined palace.

At a building at the site, I climbed onto the roof and saw this new construction:

I climbed the ladder to the upper level. I opened the little door and saw this:

It is the head of a three-story Buddha. I was at the highest point looking down. The new construction is for renovation of the Buddha and the frescoes inside.

I climbed off the roof and went to the bottom level and went inside, where i saw the Buddha from foot level.
