No TB....

I met with the pulmonologist this afternoon. He doesn't believe I have tuberculosis. I am responding to the antibiotics; my fever is nearly gone and I have no cough. So there may be no further tests for TB. I will stay on antibiotics for several more days, although I may be discharged after forty-eight hours after checking that the fever has gone.

This is modern medicine; get examined, diagnosed, tested, and treated. With the epistemology of medicine, I will never actually know if the treatment cured the fever or it was just coincidental. However, it was highly coincidental that my fever decreased during the seventy-two hours after the IV antibiotics started.

Back and forth, chest infection - tuberculosis - chest infection. A bunch of tests and back to chest infection.

It feel great to be without fever: after almost three weeks of feverishness, I finally have energy almost all day long, and I can get something done.

No TB....
